OTM v5.5 CU3 now supports OBI EE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) as the integrated analytics tool, which is officially called FTI (Fusion Transportation Intelligence).
This is a new technology for OTM (replacing Cognos - the 3rd party Analytics engine that G-Log had integrated into the product). Some quick notes:
- Since this is newly released - I would definitely expect installation, integration and usage issues -- though I'm sure they'll be resolved in upcoming patches (CUs and RUs)
- Oracle highly recommends running your analytics against an ROD (Replicated Operational Database), rather than your Operational database, because of performance implications.
