Re: Milestone monitor

Proactive monitor means monitoring a business object after occurance of an event for a specific time and doing an action and subsequent to that action you can further monitor the business object else close the monitor.

For example if a shipment needs to be delivered within 4 hours of pickup, the milestone monitor gets activated at the time of pickup and watches for 4 hours and looks for POD and if POD is updated closes the monitor else notifies the parties and continues to monitor the shipment until POD is entered.

In this way we can accomdate various time frames between various event milestones and do pro active monitoring that is monitoring before an exception is recorded and notifying proactively before the delay is happened.

An automation agent can be activated upon a pick up milestone but fixing 4 hours as a time to look for the POD milestone requires another agent instead all these can be done using one milestone template only.

Please note that milestone template is nothing but a grouping of agents set up under various conditions.
