I definitely agree with Nick. I had this issue with a large client in APAC. Setting the heap to 2800MB didn't leave enough extra memory in the 32-bit memory space to handle the rest of JRockit's memory requirements, particularly around thread stacks.
Let us know if 2400MB works!
