You are limited to the JVM heap size in a 32 bit JVM. Like I mentioned in my earlier post I have not seen any clients ever run above 1536 on a Windows server while I was working at G-log/Oracle as it was unstable. On linux I can tell you that you can't go above 2400 for the JVM heap, it can initialize up to 2800 but is unstable at those levels.
