Re: Separate TL and LTL Rates per Customer

This is one way to go about doing this but at times can exponentially increase the number of rates you have in the system. More rates means more maintenance and more planning and optimizing time. There is another way to go about breaking rates out by equipment but it would be done at the rate record level. I have found that when you have customers that handle multiple types of equipment that you create a rate records with multiple costs. A cost for each equipment that can be handled for that lane. So your rate cost would look like:
SHIPMENT.EQUIPMENT.EQUIPMENT_GROUP_GID = SAMPLE.40_DRYVAN
CHARGE 2600.0000 USD PER 1 SHIPMENT.EQUIPMENT

SHIPMENT.EQUIPMENT.EQUIPMENT_GROUP_GID = SAMPLE.42_DRYVAN
CHARGE 1300.0000 USD PER 1 SHIPMENT.EQUIPMENT

Unless your order has equipment defined you may be better off staying with 1 itinerary with a equipment group profile with all of your TL and LTL equipments and a mode of land. You will always get better performance with less itineraries. Hope this helps!
