Re: OTM SIG User Conference 2008: Presentations

Title: Outside-the-box Solutions for OTM 5.5 in an EBS Environment
Speaker: Jeff Leidy - ACCO OTM Technical Lead
ACCO has just completed a fully integrated rollout of OTM v. 5.5 CU3 RU04 while running Oracle Applications E-Business Suite v. 11.5.10.2
Oracle EBS modules include OM, SE, INV, Financials, MFG and OTM and Fusion 10.1.3.3
  • BPEL process flows that come seeded with Oracle Transportation Management
  • Order Release
  • Planned Shipments
  • Shipment as Work
  • Shipment Upload/WMS replanned
  • Vouchers allocation to AP
  • Three Regional Distribution Centers live on Order Planning and centralized Freight Payment
  • Biggest challenges on our project include (in descending severity):
  • WMS Replanning of Shipments
  • Testing - how to generate/simulate volume
  • EBS to OTM data normalization/synchronization
  • Dates logic and mapping from EBS OM into OTM
  • Modules Implemented:
  • Core Transportation Management module
  • Operational Planning module
  • Freight Payment, Billing, and Claims module
We also upgraded to CU3 RU04 in the middle of the project. We originally implemented on CU2 and upgraded in early April.
