We have been experiencing a similar scenario; we receive SAWs for our ocean shipments and we want to plan the dray shipment in OTM and have found kind of difficult to connect the same Order Release to the SAW and the planned dray shipment.
Have you tried planning through the cross dock to a fictitious destination and later using the "Divert Shipment" action to change the destination of the final leg?
About the sell side shipment, you just need to create a separate sell itinerary as well as the respective sell rates. OTM will plan direct sell shipments without showing the intermediary stops.
