RE: Cloning of an OTM instance

First clone your production database using RMAN or a hot backup to your
test database server. The clone will contain all your business logic
such as agent, saved sql, milestones and so forth. If test database is
on a different server than the test OTM instance will be on install the
Oracle10g client on the machine that you are going to install the test
OTM instance on and make sure you can connect to you test database via
sqlplus or using tnsping. If you have OTM5.5 CU2 installed on you
production site then do a clean OTM5.5 CU install on your test and point
it to the test database that you have created and update the
glog.properties file on your test server to reflect the same properties
as you have on your production box. When done you should apply future
OTM patches to you test environment and then every time you clone your
prod database to test you will have an exact image of prod on you test
system.

Cheers,

Runi

Subject: Cloning of an OTM instance

Hi All,

We have an implementation of an OTM application - with all the setup and
power data.

We would like to clone the same to an another instance (different site
and server) - replicate the same setup. (including the patches)

Is there any tool available ?

What is the mechanism available to do the same ?

Any thoughts on this is appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

thx and rgds,

Pankaj
