We too are using BPEL to integrate between EBS and OTM and have found the default packages sorely lacking. We will be modifying the existing BPEL order interfaces - the trip create seems to be working for us at the moment -, and will be creating several additional integrations with our transport mechanism TBD.

There is marked inconsistency between the Shipping and Purchasing order interfaces: items and the usage of references for example. It is as if two separate groups not communicating with each other designed them.

I "heard" through our onsite consultant that Oracle is in the process of "scoping" out a second BPEL release to clean up some of their freshman efforts. Would love to get involved in that.
