Access from one domain to another

Hi,

We have two domains D1 and D2. We have gave to D2 domain grants to read the table set order from D1 but when we get into an order base we can not see the field order_type. On D1 the order_type table has four values that are created on this domain.
If we gave read and write domain grants we are not able to see order type field too.

Does anyone know why we can not see this field?

Thanks in advance

Does your grant/tableset include ORDER_TYPE table? If no, please append this table to the tableset used in the grants from D1 -> D2.

Hi,

I have seen on the order table_set that the order_type is included on it, that's why i don't understand why we can not see data.

Thanks.

Re: Access from one domain to another

Hi,

I believe that you do not have the same problem when you access the D1.ORDERBASE from a D1 login.

If your D1->D2 grants are in place and the problem is ONLY with display of the OB_TYPE field (field label and value) when accessing D1.ORDERBASE from the D2 login, the only other suggestion I have is to review the custom screenset/Manager Layout that is attached to the D2 user.

If the ob_type value is not displayed (field label is visible) and you have VPDs configured for the user, you may want to review your VPD setup as well.

Not sure if this will answer your query. But I have just tried to list down other possibel areas.

Thanks,
Raj

Hi,

Yes, on D1 we can see the order_type.

We don’t have vpd or any custom elements… do you have any suggestion?

Thanks for your help.

Not anything else I could think of. If you are not getting beyond this, you may want to bounce the application. If this still does not resolve the problem, I can only suggest you to go to Oracle support.
