Create a wireless user id with read access only

Hi,
We are trying to create a user id used in mobile with only Read access, that is, the latter wil not be able to edit any information.
Can OTM set up in such configuration?
If possible,
Can anyone kindly show us the steps/ details on such configuration.

### Steps to Reproduce ###
Step 1: Login into WAP browser (Mobile)
Step 2: Access functions - Shipment Events and key in the Shipment id and click 'Go'
Step 3: Select the Shipment id and was able to edit the event date and time
Note: We are trying to prevent the user id from editing any information.

Regards,
SK.

Re: Create a wireless user id with read access only

hosk9818,

Please check your "assign functions" from the user manager. Select the user level that you want to restrict and see that you have not allowed this user to "edit" shipment events. The function you would most likely want to remove is Shipment Event - Update. There are some are ways to to these restrictions but I would go this route first.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Thomas

Re: Create a wireless user id with read access only

Hi,

Another alternative is domain configuration. Create a new domain which only had read access into the Shipment domain, then create users in this domain.

Cheers,

James
