Tender Processing

Hi All,
We have a requirement where our customer doesn't want the tender process as the 3PL always accepts the order. Even if there is any changes in the rate, they will correct it during invoice process.

Can we able to by pass the tendering process. Can anybody give me some information on this.

Best Regards,
Venkat.

Re: Tender Processing

Hi Venkat,
One option could be setting agent to auto-secure resources and auto-accept the tender. This would enable the buy shipment object to get updated with all the correct status values required for next set of processes viz. event management / settlement

Re: Tender Processing

If you don't want any of the OTM internal Tender Process you can try...

To disable the automatic tendering unon shipment creation or update at the system level, add the following (one single line) to the end of the file glog.properties

!remove glog.workflow.daemon.triggers.glog.server.workflow .tender.PlannedShipmentCreated$Trigger=glog.server .workflow.tender.PlannedShipmentCreated

To disable automatic tendering at domain level, update the “value” field to null for the following workflow paramters:

DATA_SOURCE_FOR_AUTO_SECURE_RESOURCE
DATA_SOURCE_FOR_REVIEW_OR_EXECUTION

This worked for us.
Cheers
Gary

Re: Tender Processing

Hi Hrishikesh and gary,
Thank you for your information. Gary, can we auto secure and auto accept the tender? You mentioned a parameter DATA_SOURCE_FOR_AUTO_SECURE_RESOURCE. Can we use it to auto tender the shipment to the carrier mentioned in the shipment and auto accept the tender? Can you give me more information on this. We either want to automate the process of tendering or disable them. When we build a shipment, the carrier always accepts the shipment.

Thanks,
Venkat.

Re: Tender Processing

Venkat

This procedure will stop the auto tender workflow - so no need to worry about auto securing!

2 things though..

Make sure the !remove <property> is at the end of the glog properties file.

If you use Dock Manager and Appointment generation - you'll need records in the tender collab tables relating to the shipment - and the correct Secure resources status..
