Creating Shipments automatically by grouping order releases of single order base

Hi,
I need to build a shipment by selecting all the order releases of an order base. I know we can do it manually but it should be done automatically.

For eg., Order base OB contains 4 lines for which the 4 releases will be sent thro integration at various durations. Once all the releases are received i need to build the shipment with the same 4 releases.

I thought it might be possible with planning parameters but not sure how to proceed since stuck up with planning groups.

Need your suggestions.

Use automation agents to do this .It will creat shipment automatically as soon as the order release is created.

Hi,
The order releases are received in the application at different times.
How does the agent selects all the order releases of an order base and then builds it??

I have checked the agents and also tried the implement it but in vain. I am not sure whether my approach is correct.

Hi,

Interesting case.... I will give you here a few things where I think of. You still have to investigate this a bit, but perhpas it gives you a direction to look for.

1) Wait for releasing the order releases before a cut-off time. At that moment the order release can contain all order base lines. However you need to work with order bases then which I'm not sure of because you're not mentioning that.

2) Use the "Ship with Group" field (on the constraints tab) of the order release. A bulk plan will put all the orders with the same "Ship with Group" on the same shipment. That sounds as what you want. However be careful because the bulk plan will not bundle orders in this shipment with another "Ship with Group" value.

Do you mean to say that you need to create a shipment after releasing all the orderbase lines ?

If that is the case do you have partial release from order base or you will have complete release from the OB line .

Hi,

What I meant is that you can get every order that belongs to each other (for whatever reason) in one order base as an order base line.
Once you release the order base into an order release, all order base lines that can be shipped together because of same source and dest. locations and dates are built in the same order release. Then you can build a shipment.
