I am trying to understand what exactly sell side and buy side shipment used for? and in what in scenario? Please shed some light with example and that will be good start for me.. thanks

For the transportation services you buy from the carriers you create buy shipment and for the services you provide to the customers you create sell shipment.

Dear Vinoth,

Consider yourselves as a LSP, where you get orders from your customers which in turn you execute from your service providers. So the buy side is nothing but the services you are buying from your service providers and adding your margin to sell it to your customers by creating a sell side.
