Order management into OTM

hi
do you use directly otm for the order management or you pass through other tools?

i'm designing an integration flow between the MRP and OTM.

from the MPR i would like to create the Oder Base and then release them...

any suggest on this part of OTM?

thanks a lot for your support

Filippo

Re: Order management into OTM

As per my understanding, one need to use some middleware (BPEL or python) to map any external system data to OTM compatible xml formats.

Re: Order management into OTM

thanks nipunlakhotia

My doubt is on the order base module of Otm, because I have seen some proposal from 4pl using thifferent Order Management Systems linked to Otm and not directly the buil in module.

How is your experience using it? Did you found some issues or limitation using it?

Thanks a lot for your feedback

Filippo

Re: Order management into OTM

Right now we have the plant Mrp that schedule the production request to the supplier and when he has the products ready for shipping they manually insert an order release.
I would like to have The order automatically created managing the schedule

Re: Order management into OTM

For that you need to custom built the interface program that create order releases in OTM based on data inputs from the external system.

BPEL can be used as middleware for this transformation.

Re: Order management into OTM

Hi,

you could try using the Order Release Schedule in conjunction with the OrderMovementReplace records. The helpfile gives some good explanation on how and when to use it.
