Order Releaseline gid missing

Hi All,

Version:5.5 CU3

I am creating a Order Release, with multiple Ship units. Each Ship unit has multiple ship unit lines. When I finish creating a OR,I see the Order release line GID becomes NULL,for some of the OR in the Database, although I can see the ship unit line gids.As a result my Bulk plan fails.

Can anyone tell me how is the link being created between an Order Release Line and a ShipUnit Line, in OTM>

Kindly advise me at the earliest.

Regards,
Nikesh.

Re: Order Releaseline gid missing

I believe that the order release line ID is created using the BNG rule ORDER_RELEASE_LINE_XID.DEFAULT. Check that the configuration of that rule is complete and has not reached a maximum value or some other error.

If that is not the issue, look in to the log files to check what is happening during the creation of the order release line. Column order_release_line.order_release_line_gid has a NOT NULL constraint on it so something is definitely not functioning correctly.

Re-post if you are still having issues.

Re: Order Releaseline gid missing

Hi,
I am bit new to OTM.I am creating an OR wid many shipunits and each ship unit having many ship unit lines. Now I create an OR and OTM shows that the OR is created successfully.Later when Irun Bulk Plan,it fails as some of the OR are corrupted, saying that in few of the OR,we can see the 'Order Release Line Gids' column value in Order Release table as NULL ,yet I can see the same result in 'Ship Unit Line' table. In the Ship Unit Line table, its fine as we do not have any Not Null constraint for the 'Order Release Line' column. Now I want to know that how is the link is created between the two tables .Is it the OrderReleaseLine gid being created automatically by OTM through the BNG rule. And this rule comes into effective once we successfully create an OR.
Please let me know where my understanding is wrong.
Alsoany idea how to check in log files on what all the process takes place after creating an OR(I mean how the BNG rule assigns the Order Release Line Gid to the tables) ,etc.,
Regards,
Nikesh.

Re: Order Releaseline gid missing

Yes, BNG is used to create the order release line gid at the moment the ORL is created.

If you need guidance on log files and checking the information in there, my advice would be to spend some time with a more experienced consultant who can explain how that works to you. Those really are basic skills that you need to be effective when working with OTM.

Re: Order Releaseline gid missing

Use the links Business Process Automation --> Power Data --> Business Numbers --> Business Number Rule to modify the rule.
