OTM 5.5 CU3: Orders from Order Base Templates Automatically Releasing

Hi everyone,

I have noticed that whenever I create an order base from an Order Base Template, it is automatically released and the Order Release object is created.

I have double checked that my Is Shippable flag is unchecked on the template itself.

Has anyone encountered this before and is there a configuration to disable this on a domain basis?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!
Ian

Hi Ian,

This is a bug and was at one point reported as such.

At a previous client site, we actually decided to shy away from templates and instead created 'typical' order bases and used the copy function.

I would suggest logging a new SR for this.

Leo

Hi Leo,

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I heard that Oracle said it was expected behaviour. Quite surprised that this is so.

Anyway, I have worked around this problem using agents to trigger an order-mod-full impact and then re-releasing the order base with updated data after that. It seemed to work for me although I have to live with -002 for each new Order Release

Thanks for the replies!
Ian
