Adding an Order to Pool Shipments

After a pool shipment is created and we have a TL shipment to the pool point with several LTL shipments from the pool point to the destination, is there a way to add another order to the shipment without having to create a new TL shipment?

If the order gets added to the TL shipment, will the system automatically create the LTL shipment from the pool?

We do not want to lose the TL shipment ID as typically it is already dispatched and the shipment ID is used throughout our systems.

Thanks

Re: Adding an Order to Pool Shipments

Chris,

Did you find a solution to this as we are experiencing the same scenario? We need to add an order to the pool after the shipment has been tendered.

Regards,
David

Re: Adding an Order to Pool Shipments

We never resolved this issue. We currently re-plan the orders and use the original TL shipment ID as a reference number. That is the most efficient for us.

Chris,
Could you plan the extra order into a shipment, and then merge it onto the Shipment that you wanted to add it to?

Re: Adding an Order to Pool Shipments

The orders are created into two shipments, remember we are going through the pool, and therefore we haven't been able to get it to process when we try and merge shipments. We get an error that I will post shortly.
