Calendar - Count weekend as transit time but do not deliver

Hi,

Is it possible to have a calendar setup so that the carrier will not deliver on the weekends, but the weekend will be used as transit days?

I have a rate service setup as a DAYDURATION, with a 7 day cyclical calendar, where Monday - Friday, the actions are PICKUP and RECEIVE. No activities are defined for Saturday and Sunday. This is for an LTL carrier that does not deliver or pickup on the weekends, but does count them as transit days.

For example: An order is ready for PICKUP on a Thursday. The order uses a particular lane that has a transit time of 3 days, as defined in the rate service. With a calendar that does not PICKUP or RECEIVE on the weekends, it will deliver on Tuesday the following week because it will use Friday, Monday, and Tuesday as transit days.

What I would like to happen is for the carrier to deliver on Monday, using Friday, Saturday and Sunday as transit days. Since it can't deliver on Sunday, it will deliver the next available day, according to the calendar (Monday).

Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Drew

You could apply a calendar to the pickup/delivery location that specifies loading and unloading times. You can model your carriers completely independant of that, but the carrier is still restrained to the locations business hours this way.
