Rep Power: 3 | | "Depot" planning in OTM Dear Pals,
Below was the problem I am facing right now.
Once the shipment is planned why is that the first pick up location (first stop) is not the same as the final drop off location (final stop in the sequence.) ..If the shipment starts from Stop A (pick up) --> Stop B (drop off)--> Stop C (drop off)--> Then this should come back to Stop A finally..
Below are the steps, I followed:
1) Order Releases are planned into a shipment by running the Bulk Plan - Buy Shipment in OTM system.
2) Once the planned shipment is generated the final stop location is not the same as the starting pick up location.
Ideally it should come back to the same location from where it started ... But not happening. Can any one suggest something?
Thanks & Regards,
Lakshman |

Take a look on these posts, http://www.otmfaq.com/forums/f15/mul...location-1654/ (Multistop Shipment With P/d At Same Location) http://www.otmfaq.com/forums/f15/mul...location-1315/ (Multi-stop planning - pick and drop activity on same location)

1. Did you place a Region ID on the Depot Location
2. Did you place a Depot Profile on the Itinerary Parameters Tab
3. Did you select the Depot Applicable checkbox on the Rate Offering Header
4. Does your Rate Record contain a Source/Destination Region that contains the Depot Location? |

Rep Power: 2 | | Re: "Depot" planning in OTM Hi,
I tried this scenario A (PICKUP)--->B (DELIVERY & PICKUP)---->A (DELIVERY).
Rate Record - Region to Region (contains A and B)
Itinerary - Region to Region Multi stop itinerary with ground schedule attached (dynamic trip).
When I perform bulk plan, it results in 2 shipments with correct pickup and delivery time. When I tried to merge the shipments, it results in an error.
The same problem was highlighted by Nipunlakhotia in the attached post.
I request if any one can suggest how to create a single shipment in this scenario?
Thanks

In my opinion, Lakshman's scenario is different than your scenario. Lakshman is simply trying to have the system generate the empty segment for the Final Delivery to the Depot portion of the trip (so that the system will display the return miles to Depot). Whereas you are actually trying to combine an Outbound Shipment with an Inbound Shipment. These scenarios have slight different configuration requirements.
For your scenario, there are 3 Multistop Logic Configuration Settings that you may want to look into adjusting:
1. MULTISTOP MAXIMUM SEGMENTS PER SHIPMENT
2. MULTISTOP USES LIFO PICKUP DROPOFF
3. MULTISTOP ALLOW PICKUP AND DROPOFF AT SAME STOP |

Thanks for your reply.
Based on your previous post, I have already set the multi stop parameters. But still it resulted in 2 shipments.
When I performed bulk plan using default planning parameter also, it results in 2 shipments. I mean to say that setting this multistop parameters has not made any difference in bulk plan. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
