Determing Carrier and Cost from the Order

We have a few specific instances where we determine the carrier and cost of a shipment when we enter the order.

I understand the functionality of pre-determining the carrier but I can't see a way to pre-determine the cost.

Is there any way to set this up so that the system will build a shipment with this predetermined carrier and COST? This cost would not be a part of a rate offering but be a spot bid so there are no rate records to associate this bid to.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Try exploring "Buy Shipments>Change Shipment Details>SPOT COST" action to change the cost of the shipment.

When used, old cost data is rolled up and stored at shipment information cost data. The new Cost you enter here then becomes the new shipment cost. The cost type will be Base.

Note:
One dummy rate record with $1 cost can be created for shipment creation while planning.
