Direct Planning

All-

I built an automation agent with the action build shipment:b from a selected saved query. The saved query pulls order releases that have a sub-domain.

I'm having a difficult time understanding why the buy shipment are being built in the sub-domain when the agent was created in the parent domain. Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening? Thanks!

Eric

Re: Direct Planning

Eric,
Since parent domain has access to all its subdomains...OTM gives you flexibility that a single agent is enough, for all its subdomains, to perform the necessary operation.
since the order releases belongs to that subdomain......... OTM builds shipment accordingly.

I am not sure if its possible to build shipment in parent domain using its subdomain order releases.

Re: Direct Planning

eric,
u can set the "Run As" option (in the Agent header) to Object. In the Domain Query, create a query which will retreive the parent domain ID e.g. SELECT 'XYZ' FROM order_release where order_release_gid = ? where XYZ is your parent domain name.

regards

Re: Direct Planning

Please note that the shipment will be built in the same sub domain as the releases were created in, the purpose of agent configured in main domain is to make it work for all the sub domains instead of creating multiple agents and irrespective of the domain of agent, the shipments will be built in the same domain as the release.
