Has anyone explored the Functionality of Flexible commodity Profile.

Kindly explain.

Hi Chris/all

Explored the Functionality of Flexi Commodity and understand that the Items are grouped based on Flexible Commodity Qualifier and a flexi Commodity Profile is created and this Commodity Profile has to be mentioned on the Itienary Leg so that the Commodity Applies to that Particular Leg.

There is a provision to create the Flexi Commodity Profile on the Rate Offerring and the Rate Record also.

So When there is an order release with an item which is in the Profile the Shipment will be Built.

But the Findings are

1.There are two rate records _ One with the Flexi Commodity Profile and the Second one without the Profile but with a Less rate than the first one.

OTM builds a shipment with the second rate record ?

2. There is an order release with an item that is not in the Flexi Commodity Profile then the Shipment should not be built with this itinerary. But shipment is built


Can you kindly explain whether is this the functionality

Moreover in the Flexible Commodity Qualifier the Items are Grouped under IATA SCR codes which is a standard message for the ground handling operations at the Airport. How Items are classified based on this .

We are facing the same issue. Order Release considering the itinerary with non compatible Flexible Commodity Profile.

Hi Medha

Create another flexi commodity profile for the Items which does not belong to the existing one and attach it with the rate offering or record according to your requirement.
