Ground Schedule (static route) help needed

Hi,

I have created a simple static route ground schedule with 4 stops. I have also managed to successfully generate 'blank' shipments from this schedule for use in planning.

I have 4 orders which i would like to 'attach' to this blank shipment. If I plan them 'Direct' one at a time then they get succesfully assigned to the statis route.

However if I run a bulk plan on all 4 orders, then a new shipment is created and they do not get assigned to the statis route.

Any ideas why this is as I need to plan all 4 together?

Thanks

Marc

Marc,

Two quick questions that might help clarify your issue for me;
1. Does the equipment on your static trip have the capacity to carry all 4 orders, or do you have the Ignore Equipment Capacity checkbox marked?
2. Is the new shipment created for the 4 bulk planned orders using a different rate to the rate used for the static trip i.e. is it cheaper to not send it via the ground schedule?

Re: Ground Schedule (static route) help needed

Hi,

I checked your suggestions but had no luck. The equipment is big enough and it is the same carrier/rate.

My order only seems to get assigned to the ground schedule shipment if I build a 'direct' shipment. However it does not work when I run the a 'bulk plan'- which i need as i have a 4 orders with different locations.

Any other suggestions much appreciated.

Marc
