Rep Power: 0 | | Multi-stop planning - pick and drop activity on same location Dear good people,
Has anyone managed to build a multi-stop shipment that has both pick and drop activities on one of its stops? Here's a summary of my scenario:
Order 1: A --> B , 2 ship units
Order 2: A --> C, 2 ship units
Order 3: A --> D, 2 ship units
Order 4: C --> D, 1 ship unit
The above 4 orders are bulk-planned successfully as follows:
S1: A (pick) --> B (drop) --> C (drop) --> D (drop)
S2: C (pick) --> D (drop)
What I'd like OTM to do is:
S1: A (pick) --> B (drop) --> C (drop, pick) --> D (drop)
where at stop C, both pick and drop activities take place on the same stop since there is sufficient capacity on the shipment equipment (truck).
When I merged S1 and S2 into S1, I get the following:
S1: C(pick) --> A(pick) --> B (drop) --> C (drop) --> D (drop)
which is not efficient, since stop C would be visited twice.
Has anyone encountered this scenario before?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Cheers,
Simon. |

MULTISTOP ALLOW PICKUP AND DROPOFF AT SAME STOP to true.
Check this one and let us know if it works. |

I couldn't find the planning parameter MULTISTOP ALLOW PICKUP AND DROPOFF AT SAME STOP from the list. Could you let me know where to locate this parameter?
Thanks,

Go to Transportation Planning and Execution > Power Data >Planning > Logic Configuration.
Define a new logic configuration ID.
Assign this ID to Planning parameter set under multistop Config ID.
See if it works. | | The Following User Says Thank You to cool_brat For This Useful Post: | |

See if it works. | Hi Vipin,
Once again, thanks for responding ever so quickly. However, I was not able to find the Logic Configuration option as per your instructions above. Is this option only available in OTM 5.5 CU4? I'm currently using CU3.
Thanks,
Simon. |

kishore | Hi Kishore,
I intend to use Lat / Long for distance calculation using SIMULATION.

If Lat/Long is used it plans based on the distance .Clacualte the distance from the lat long then see it its fesable to plan as per yourrequirment.
I would suggest to create the lanes and create Distance for the lanes .(Jut for testing)
And chage the Multistop planning parameter to Lookup only(YOur rate offering should also be lookup only) Same with rate service . | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
