Re: Unitization Rule

Hi Vidya,

Unitization rules are defined when an Order requires Unitization they can be used to determine compatibility and the population of stuffing and de-stuffing locations on the container group that is created and assigned to the appropriate consol shipment as a result of the unitization process.

The unitization rule defines criteria that is compared to data on an order release to determine which rule should be used when an order is to be unitized (or containerized). Once a compatible unitization rule is selected, it also defines how stuffing and de-stuffing locations are populated on the container group that is created and assigned to a consol shipment.

You can go through OTM help to understand better.

If you still face an issue. Plz feel free to get back to me.

Regards,
Divya

Re: Unitization Rule

Hi Vidya,

Stuffing and destuffing locations should match between "order release other attributes" and unitization rule for containerization to happen

OTM will automatically create container group if all other setups are in place; namely
itinerary with consol checked
equipment group with container checked
unitization rule for lane
charter voyage
empty consol shipment in that time frame

Re: Unitization Rule

Hi Nipun,

Thank you for the reply... Container group is creating fine...
but there is only two option available like origin or port of discharge Location for stuffing location...

Is it possible to give different location other than origin and port of loading as stuffing Location?

Re: Unitization Rule

Hi Vidya,

Yes, it is possible to give different location other than origin and port of loading as stuffing Location. It can be achieved by defining the unitization rule accordingly i.e.

Either choose from drop down list or mention the specific location ID in the field given in unitization rule [screen shot attached]

Re: Unitization Rule

Hi Vidya,

Was the container group getting created if you use same stuffing/de-stuffing locations as of source/destination?

Also, which "stowage mode" are you using in unitization rule - UNITIZATION?
