Rep Power: 2 | | | Wrong Results With Equipment Reference Units (again!) - 5.5 CU3 RU4 Hi everyone,
After struggling with getting ERUs to plan on multiple ship units, I am now finding that the planning result is wrong
I am facing 2 issues:
1) I am not able to get OTM to respect ERU limits on the equipment group. Somehow, OTM is always planning max capacity based on volume when I actually want to limit the number of THUs on the equipment group
2) When creating an order in DOMAIN_1 and planning it in DOMAIN_2 with planning parameter set in DOMAIN_2, ERU configuration is not being applied
I have attached the problem statement as well as the log files.
Appreciate if anyone out there with experience in ERU can help me identify if I have misconfigured anything.
Thanks so much!
PS: Thanks Krishna and Rob Haaster for your previous help in the ERUs! |

Maybe enabling the following log id's gives you some more insight on what's going on. The generated csv's (stored on server somewhere) show the ERU's as well, although it doesn't give clues on how it comes to the full solution.
•PackingSolver
-->High level steps of the algorithm
•PackingSolverData
-->Dumps conoptdata*.csv files, which can be used for diagnostics in case of the solver not producing the expected results
•PackingSolverDetails
-->Detailed logs of the container optimization algorithm |

Thanks for the tip! I ran the order again with these logs but can't seem to make any sense out of it.

My first thought is to test to see if the equipment reference limitations would apply if you tested the same scenario in domain_1. I would first like to know if that works.

Thomas | Hi Thomas,
Thanks for the reply. I have tested it and it also fails for doman_1. |

I tested your scenario in 5.5 CU1 and it didnt work either. Have you opened an SR for this issue? If not I would provide Oracle support with the data/config and have them run it on there box to see if its a configuration issue or potential bug.
Sorry I couldnt be of more help. I'll run a couple more things in the meantime and let you know if I see any other changes that might help.
Thanks,

Thanks for testing! For a moment there I thought I was the only one having this issue! I have reported this to Metalink but they are still working on it ...
Will let you know if I get any result from them.
Thanks for all the help!
Anyone else with this issue and can confirm that it works or does not work on their environment?

Could you please let me know whether this issue is resolved by Oracle.Even we have similar issues with ERUs and are running 5.5 CU3.

Yes according to Oracle the issue is supposed to be resolved only in CU4 RU2. However, I have not been able to validate this because I am still on CU3 RU6
