High Cost Delivery Area

In our BUY SIDE set-up, we have several LTL carriers who charge a fee for delivery to certain parts of the country, namely Los Angeles, Chicago and NYC. We have set this up as an accessorial code and accessorial charges.

Is there anyway to have OTM recognize this geography, retrieve the accessorials from the rate offerings, and apply these charges by the geography automatically or is the only option to populate these charges on the order?

Re: High Cost Delivery Area

hello christoper,

we define high cost regions for ltl carriers as follows. The carriers have given us a list of zips for high del areas grouped by as NY, CA, LA etc... with their respective charges.

we created regions for each group and added a accessorial cost with below rate basis. A new accessorial code (with "always apply" checked) is used with this accessorial cost.

SHIPMENT.STOPS.REGION = CNWY_SAS_WI
CHARGE 3.5000 USD PER 100 LB OF SHIPMENT.DIMWEIGHT

The above works for both pick-ups and deliveries in the high cost region.

CNWY_SAS_WI stands for high del cost for Conway in Wisconsin

Hope this helps !!

Thumbs up Re: High Cost Delivery Area

Hrishikesh:

Thank you. We were missing the ALWAYS APPLY check and thus we were not receiving the desired results.
