LTL Rate structure

Hi,

We're trying to figure out how to create an LTL rate based on per 100lb basis, we have the weight breaks defined with the cost associated with each break, however we're not sure where we would enter the per 100lb basis on the rate cost screen, any idea? Thanks!

Re: LTL Rate structure

I'm still a bit of a rookie myself with this system, but I think I've got this one documented. On your normal basis cost line where you'd enter an amount, choose the Shipment Total Weight and then 100 lbs. However, do not actually select the box next to it, instead use the rate unit break id to enter your amounts by break. Also, usually in LTL contracts, you'll want to set the Deficit Calculations Type to Standard Deficit Rating so that it uses the least cost across weight breaks.

Hopefully that's clear enough.

Hi,

Be aware to also select the appropriate "Charge Break Comparitor" in the rate record.

Best regards,

Bob
