Multistop rating: Circuity Allowance Percent vs Circuity Allowance Distance

I have a customer requirement to charge 0.90 Euro per Kilometer for any additional drops not en route above 50 Kilometer out of route.

OTM offers functionality that comes very close to providing a solution with the Circuity Allowance Percent parameter. However, my client requires the circuity in absolute distance and not as a percentage.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Michiel

Re: Multistop rating: Circuity Allowance Percent vs Circuity Allowance Distance

Michiel,

Is this for multiple customers? If not I think it might be easy enough to create the rate records to look at applying multiple basis to constrain what you want. i.e. source and dest locations or regions, total distances, etc. Then apply the costs you want in the cost basis fields. I understand your frustration with the percentage so I'm just trying to help you think outside the box. Hopefully this might help you.

Hi Michiel,

You can tweak your rate record (as attached) to achive this based on exact distance.

This will add an extra cost (say 1 $ per MI) to your original cost, if you have a stop greater than a distance of 50 MI.

Let me know if this meets your requirement.

Rajiv
