Is OTM using any external Rate inquiry API?

Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Rate inquiry API

Kumar,
By "external" do you mean that OTM makes a call to an external rating engine? If so, then the only one I know of is to RateWare for LTL rating. If not, please clarify your question.

Re: Rate inquiry API

Hi John,

Thanks for your useful reply.
Exactly i need external rating engine only, you mention the Rate Engine for LTL and what are the rate engines for other modes.
Kindly share me any documents how this external rate engine(RateWare) will work.

Thanks in advance,
Kumar

Re: Rate inquiry API

Kumar,
I hate to put it this way, but read the OTM documentation. There's tons of documentation on the LTL RateWare (also called SMC). It's a separate third party package software for LTL. When you create rate offerings, the type would be LTL-BASE/SMC.

There are currently no other APIs to support external rating calls. This one is a specific built-in integration to another third party package (i.e., widely used).
