Rate Inquiry by Integration

Does anybody know if OTM has the capability to take a rate inquiry XML as input and output a file with the rate costs for each inquiry?

I know about Bulk rating but that is not appealing since it actually stores information in the DB.

Thanks

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

I'm testing them at the moment, so far, it has been working, as in, OTM has the RIQ request XML which returns RIQ reply with total cost and cost details. It will breakdown the cost type as well (ie: base cost, accessorial cost, etc) but does not include the description any further. I have not tested yet whether it is possible for me to submit refnum and rating via refnum as yet. Will PM you when fully tested. Cheers, L

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

We are also still experimenting with the RIQ, but I think as long as you set the IncludeRefInfo field to a Y, then you will get much more details returned. The documentation for that field is as follows:

Specifies whether the details of the RIQResultRefInfo and CostDetailsRefInfo element should be included in the RIQResult XML. Default value is N.

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

Thanks for your help...where did you find documentation on this process? I looked in HELP and Integration Admin and did not find anything.

My e-mail is gpage4@searshc.com

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

That particular line of documentation was attached as a documentation tag for the IncludeRefInfo element in the GLogXML.xsd. I hope that's what you mean by your question of where it was found.

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

lavalleyj,

I cant find the RIQResultRefInfo, CostDetailsRefInfo and IncludeRefInfo elements in the current RIQ Request. Hence, in my RIQReply, it doesnt take the refnum rating into consideration and it doesnt even calculate or return the accessorial code as mentioned in the schema.

what version are you on? I'm on ver 5.0

L

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

L,
I think we might have crossed lines of communication on this one. The IncludeRefInfo element is on the RIQQuery and the other two elements should be on the RIQReply. We're using version 5.5, and it looks like the change log indicates it wasn't added 12/26/2006 (probably one of the CU releases for that version).

Not sure what you're trying to do with refnum rating though.

John

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

Does anyone have an example XML file that they could share? I've been trying to create my own XML but keep getting error messages when I try to upload to OTM.

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

I can't seem to get the xml file to attach to the message. So, just send me a PM with your email and I'll send it to you directly.

Re: Rate Inquiry by Integration

Hi,
I am facing the same issue as that specified in this Thread.

I am on 5.5 CU4. I am trying to get the output from RIQQuery of GLOGXML.xsd

1. I have created a Transmission using BPEL, with data punched in RIQQuery.
2. I have made the IncludeRefInfo tag in RIQQuery to Y.
3. My BPEL process gets compeleted successfully. But In the ACK I do not get any result of the rate Inquiry.

1. I am supplying all the data only in RIQQuery and not in RIQQueryreply.
2. I have not setup any external system from where I can get the result of the RIQQuery..

So can you please let me know what I need to configure and where to see for the RIQQuery results.

Thanks,
Karam.
