Re: Rate record - Multi Cost Rule - Shipment

From the attachment I understand that, Initially shipment is built with 400 AUD, Then while rerating shipment cost has changed to 300 AUD, Then Refnum qual changed to 6 and cost changed to 180 AUD. But when Refnum qual changed to 15 Cost changed to 366.9 AUD. Am i correct?

Re: Rate record - Multi Cost Rule - Shipment

So, All other things like restricting the weight basis rate are working.. Only rerating has problem? Correct me if i am wrong..

Surender

I have tested a similar kind of setup in my instance. Its working fine for any number of rerating. Kindly check once again.. Some value you might have changed before rerating.. Just check once again...

Re: Rate record - Multi Cost Rule - Shipment

Sophia,

You are correct.I have problem only for weight based rates are not restricting when shipment is re-rating when the shipment refnum value changed to 15.I want OTM to pick rates for shipment refnum not for the weights. It's currently picking rates based on weight when shipment refnum value is changed to 15.

Thanks,
Surender

Re: Rate record - Multi Cost Rule - Shipment

Surender,

Pls give the condition for Order refnum qual != CRP.TOTAL_PALLETS in the weight based rate cost. If this condition is inclueded then weight based rate cost will not be picked up until Order release has this refnum qualifer.

I find no conditions for your weight based rate cost. Pls add that as we discussed earlier and check.

Re: Rate record - Multi Cost Rule - Shipment

Hi Sophia,

Thanks for your reply.
Now am able to restrict weight based rates while recalculating shipment cost. But by using this approach rate inquiry will not returning any results.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks,
Surender

Re: Rate record - Multi Cost Rule - Shipment

Surender

Ofcourse it will not... As per our rate record OTM retrieves rates, only if the condition of Order release refnum has a value. When you query a rate record you cannot simulate a condition like refnum value in order release.

So OTM will not fetch tat rate.... Hope you can understand this logic....

Re: Rate record - Multi Cost Rule - Shipment

Thanks Sophia.

Please see my rate record:

Two cost rule (Minimum):-

Shipment Refnum Qualifier = CRP.PALLET_SPACE
CHARGE 30.0000 AUD PER 1 Shipment Refnum Value as a Number

Order Release Reference Number Qualifier = CRP.PSQ
SELECTED Order Release Reference Number Value = PSQ-YES
CHARGE 40.0000 AUD PER 1 MTON OF Shipment Total Weight

I have created two automation agents:

Automation agent 1.Will attach CRP.PSQ AND PSQ-YES to order release whenever it is created
Automation agent 2. Will delete the CRP.PSQ AND PSQ-YES from order releases wne a shipment is created from these order releases.

In cases, where i am creating shipments directly from order releases the above configuration is working fine. But when i am creating order movements from order releases and then building shipments from order movements in this case the above configuration fails.

MY requirement:

I want OTM to pick up Weight as the basis for rate calculation when shipment is created either from order release or from order movement. Later when I perform an action of Recalculate shipment cost, I want to rerate the shipment based on the Reference Number value and not the weight i.e, i want to restrict cost rule No.1 some how.

Thanks,

Surender
