[SOLVED] LTL rating

Hello,

I have the following scenario:

Line Item with NMFC class 77.5 --> Net Weight 1000 lbs
Transport Handling Unit --> Standard Pallet --> tare weight 30 lbs
Gross Weight = 1000 + 30 = 1030 lbs

OTM uses Czarlite rate engine. We find that OTM rates only for the line item (net weight). The transport handling unit is not rated.

Any clues?

Regards
Hrishikesh

I don't think that OTM ever based rates off of the Gross Weight. I could be wrong but I believe that Gross is there for information purposes only. Is there any way to change your integration so that you pass the total weight into the order rather than break it down. If you can't you could consider calculating what the approximate cost of the 30# is at each weight break and simply use an accessorial to add the the additional cost. Another option would be similar - to use rate unit breaks in another rate cost to add the extra cost of the pallet.
