Business Numbers

Hello all-

OTM has the ability to generate Business Numbers, which can be used, for example, as gids. We are using a Business Number to generate Invoice gids. We need to be able to access this from within an agent - that is, as one of the actions within an agent, we need to set a variable to the next available Invoice gid, using the Business Number generate to create it. What is the syntax within an agent to obtain the next available gid, using the Business Number generator?

Thanks!

Eric

Re: Business Numbers

I was just reading the other day about 'Business Number Checksum Algorithm' within the help file. This gives the option for custom gid's within OTM. Just wondering if something like this would help your issue.

Re: Business Numbers

Hi Eric,

I just want to get a better understanding of what you require...

Are you wanting to construct an Invoice Gid from within an Agent? This sounds a little unusual.

OTM can build a INVOICE_GID for you using various components through the Business Number Generator. Read through the Help Guide under "Business Number Rule Definitions".

This defines all the elements that can be used to generate an XID. You must set a rule up per domain also.

if you still need assistance, can you please advise the syntax/format of the Invoice_XID you wish to achieve?

Hope this helps.

Regards,

James
