Hi,

I have a requirement where client would like to add new order releases to existing shipments as long as following conditions are met:

1. A shipment exists with same OD pair (direct shipment) or a multi-stop shipment exists with itinerary having this OD pair
2. The delivery deadline is not violated
3. Equipment weight/volume capacity is available

If no such shipment exists, client want this order release to be left untouched so that next scheduled bulk plan run can pick this release for planning.

Client does not want to do it manually every time a new order release is created. Is there a way possible by which we can create an Automation Agent that looks for new order release creation events and then validates that above conditions are true and find the appropriate shipment and assigns this new order release to such existing shipment?

Any help on this critical requirement will be savior for us and will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Salil,

Yes.I hope this is possible using an OrderRelease agent listening on OrderCreation.The agent should check for shipments that match your OrderRelease's source and destination location(and other required checks) and you can move the OrderRelease to a matching shipment using the seeded agent action.
Also you need to make sure that you account for PlanFrom/To locations in your agent check,if you are using them as part of your normal planning..
