Cool Oracle creates OTM Communities in Metalink

Oracle recently announced that they've created a set of Metalink Forums (call Communities") to support various products, including OTM. I'm incredibly happy that Oracle has taken steps to provide better support for OTM users. I've been pushing for this for quite a while. I also know that Keith (go G-Loggers!) will do a great job as moderator.

Quote:
Oracle has been working for some time to improve the look, feel and support provided over the Metalink portal. As part of the changes Oracle has been creating external forums, better know as Communities, for many of the Oracle products. Oracle has recently announced that the Transportation Management product was selected to participate in this program and as of May 28th 2009 has launched the Transportation Management community.

We hope you and our other OTM clients will participate in the discussions that will be raised regarding the installation, implementation and customization of the Transportation Management product.
So - how does this affect OTMFAQ? From my standpoint, it doesn't. What it does mean is that there are now more support options available to OTM users -- which is good for everyone. I do hope, though, that there are ways in the future for the communities to work together.

I'm very proud of the fact hat OTMFAQ has become the largest OTM Community and that we remain independent -- an important factor, so that we can discuss both the strengths and weaknesses in OTM and help Oracle continually improve their product.

It looks like 2009 is going to be a good year for OTM!

It's just getting started, but has potential.

I don't think I can include a link, since you have to be logged into Metalink in order to access. Once you login to Metalink, though, go to "Communities" and then look for Transportation Management.

Lakshman,

Once you login to Metalink, click on the "Communities" tab near the top of the page. After that, scroll down until you find the "Transportation Management" link. That will take you into the Oracle forums.
