Over the past few months, SPAM has become an increasing issue here on the forums. Currently, several members have been very helpful in reporting it to me, so that I can delete it, ban the user and them remove it from our twitter feed (OTMFAQ_Posts).

I'm going to implement a couple of changes soon to address the issue:

• Install a couple of mods that will automatically block known SPAM email addresses, user IDs and IP addresses from joining the forums. I will be able to manually approve anyone tagged, so h
• Install a modification that allows for the rating of posts (number of stars) and the reporting of SPAM posts.
• Work with the community to designate additional moderators.

Over the last 3 years, this site has grown tremendously. I'm very happy with the success -- though it also means that we could use additional people to help manage the forums.

I'd like these moderators to be active members of the community. So - if you're interested in helping out, please contact me.

I just deleted over 10 pornographic posts that came in over the last few minutes. The offending user has been banned, but if I have missed anything, please let me know ASAP.
