Talking Branding Porting from 5.0 to 5.5

Hi everyone,

I am currently on OTM 5.0 and I need to do some branding and customisations to my UI. In 5.0, you can apply customisations to the UI based on different domains and that really suits my requirements now.

However, I am also going to migrate to OTM 5.5 and as I undestand, 5.5 uses JSPX instead of XSLT and CSS. I have the following questions and was wondering if anyone would have any experience:

1) How do we port the branding from 5.0 to 5.5?
2) Is there any documentation on JSPX technology and how we can apply it to branding in OTM?

Thanks for any replies!

Re: Branding Porting from 5.0 to 5.5

Hi
Of what I have experienced till date you can do branding in 5.5 in the same fashion as you did in 5.0. However the themes in 5.0 are no longer supported in 5.5. You need to make a copy of the themesswan<color>.xsl, renmae it to whatever your custom theme name is and then make necessary changes to that file. You obvioulsy will also need an images folder of by the name of your theme.
In my opinion you need not ve any knowledge of JSPX. Also the best resource for more details is the 5.5 branding document.

Regards
Karthik

Re: Branding Porting from 5.0 to 5.5

Hi Karthik

Thanks for your reply. We have successfully migrated to 5.5. As you have correctly mentioned, it is similiar to 5.0 and we do not have any problems moving forward.

Thanks!

Ian
