I am assuming that you mean you want to edit an event that you already entered, not that you want to change the options that you are seeing when you go to enter an event. Correct? |

You can forget it, it is not possible. To me it is one of the bad habbits of OTM, but you have to face it.
THe reason is that OTM sends on the background a XML-integration containing this information. You won;t be able to change that. The record which will be stored in the database contacins a link to a I_TRANSACTION (which is the XML).
Only thing you can do is to raise a new event with the correct dates/data.

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: How we can edit the event details This is frustrating to my company as it makes it impossible to remove an event. This can be an issue if an event is put on the wrong shipment, for instance a shipment may show as picked up even though it hasn't yet, which can be an issue for any changes that we need to make to that shipment. Frustrating. |

Perhaps you can look at "hide events" in OTM. (Search in the help fiels for a explanation).
With that functionality you can hide events (how obvious) for non-admin users. You can;t delete then, but hide them. This doesn;t change your status of the shipment etc.

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: How we can edit the event details Right it's not actually the event alone, but rather how the event changes the shipment, the status and the pickup date.
Our system provides reminders to our truckers to put in events for their shipments. The agent for this obviously is checking against the status.
We overwrite OTM's default dates with dates from the Order Release when the shipment is new, and then when a trucker accepts it we put in his pickup and delivery dates. If a pickup event is accidently entered on the system, then the pickup date shows incorrectly as well. The same situation can happen with a delivery.
It just seems stupid for the system to be incapable of allowing this. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
