Rep Power: 0 | | | Order Release and Shipment ID on same Search Resutls page Does anybody know of a Search Screen Result were you can put Order Release and Shipment ID on the same search result (list form). Our users would really like this info, but it does not appear you can do it from any of the order release screen sets which is a little boggling. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Re: Order Release and Shipment ID on same Search Resutls page Hi,
We have the same issue. A suggestion. You will have to create a custom screen, either on the order or the shipment, then have an agent copy the relevant ID's either from the order to the shipment, or from the shipment to the order as reference numbers, and then in the custom screen, have a column displaying the reference number. There is one or two things to consider. If you have multiple orders on a shipment, you will have to insert the order numbers distinctly (Order ref#1, order ref#2, etc) and then have multiple columns in the custom screen to display all of them, same applies to the shipment side.
Hope this helps. |

I agree with Albert here. I only want to give you a catch before it doesn't and you'll get sick of searching why.
When you add the orderrefs to the shipment or the other way around as a reference number, you can only have 1 reference number qualifier per refnum. Otherwise you screenset will fail. This will give you some trouble because you don;t know how many orders you possibly can have on a shipment.
We did the same but agreed with the customer:
- For the order screen we only show the pick up shipment number (in case of working with multiple shipments for an order release)
- For the shipment screen we only show the first order on the shipment.

A shipment may have many related Order Releases.
The refnum (or Remark) you could use as mentioned - could be populated with all the related ORs concatenated and seperated by a comma.
I have also done this where the value is either the OR XID or MANY depending on whether there are one or more related ORs.
Also - you can see related Order Releases using the tree (the +) by drill into the particular shipment.
Cheers

Rep Power: 0 | | | Re: Order Release and Shipment ID on same Search Resutls page Thanks fo everybodies suggestions...we are well versed with the limitations of only having one refnum per object wit the use of a screen set. We battle with that all the time and OTM really needs a config to prevent multiple refnums for that exact purpose | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
