Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Unable to see the headers in the result page Hi, not exactly sure what you are trying to do there. The "default criteria" in the screen set you are configuring (as per the screen shot) will just limit the data that is returned to the screen to those rows that match the criteria you define. It allows consultants / clients to configure OTM to return only data that is relevant to certain users by default i.e. they dont have to put that criteria in to the finder screens each time they search for data.
If you could repost with a screen shot of the actual results screen that you are seeing and a) what is on there that you dont want to appear on there and b) what is not on there that you do want on there, then I am sure someone could point you in the right direction. |

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Unable to see the headers in the result page Nikesh - I dont think you can do that using the screen set configuration. By default, OTM will return the screen that says "No data returned" without including the headers of the results screen that would be used if data was available.
What is the purpose of returning the column headers if no data is returned ? |

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Unable to see the headers in the result page Hi,
Actually I saw in some of the result screens with headers even when no data was there in DB.Not sure in which screen.I guess I saw in version 5.0.May be it is not supported in 5.5?

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Unable to see the headers in the result page Nikesh - I think you are right in that in previous versions OTM returned a results screen with the headers included but without any data. I am not 100% sure when that change was made but probably in 5.5 when the changes to the UI layout were made (fonts etc) after the re-branding to be more in line with other Oracle applications. | | The Following User Says Thank You to bmj_23 For This Useful Post: | |

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Unable to see the headers in the result page Hi - yes, I think that is a minor enhancement to the UI that comes with the new UI look and feel in 5.5. You would have to check the release notes to determine exactly what release that was included in (CU1, CU2 etc) |

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Unable to see the headers in the result page One more Help.I have created a finder screen by creating the xml file.Added an entry in CSV file and also uploaded in DB.Now how should I attach it(finder screen) to a menu link.If so, hwo to do it?
Also I needed it to configure some fields(I know we can use screen set,but is there any way we say that use only the above created xml file for reference).

Rep Power: 2 | | | Re: Unable to see the headers in the result page You dont have to create XML files to create finder screens. The standard OTM configuration allows you to create those via the UI - I have never worked with a client who has relied on creating XML to create finder screens that can be created using the standard screen set functionality.
The way to attach a screen set (and the related finder screen) to a menu is via the menu configuration (Configuration and Administration > User Configuration > Menu Manager). When the user clicks on the link on the menu it will then bring back your screen set with the associated finder and results screens.
Once again, no need (unless you tell me otherwise) to do this by trying to create the XML and CSV data in the background and load that in to the related database tables. Just do the configuration using the tools that OTM provides you with e.g the standard configuration | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
