5.5 CU4 startup error

Hi,

I have installed OTM 5.5 CU4 on Oracle Linux 4.5 (64-bit), when I tried to start web or reports server it is throwing the following error message.

/u01/app/otm/rptapache/bin/httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libgssapi_krb5.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I am new to OTM any help in this regard is appreciated.

Thanks
-Raj

Re: 5.5 CU4 startup error

Raj,

This error occurs when the Apache binaries are incompatible with the version of OpenSSL on your system. Since OTM v5.5 CU4 was just recently certified on Oracle Linux, and QA testing may not have caught this, I'd recommend doing one of the following:

1) Open an SR with Oracle, as they will need to provide you with updated Apache and RptApache binaries.
2) Downgrade your OpenSSL libraries to 0.9.7.x and test again.
3) Compile your own custom Apache and replace the existing binaries. Note that this won't be supported by Oracle, but may get you past the immediate issue until they have a resolution.

Hope this helps!
