    Angry OTM 6.2 - APP server not starting <BEA-090403> <Authentication for user system denie

    I installed OTM 6.2

    DB instance is perfectly working ! (ran all scripts from Installation guide and no errors)
    Weblogic server (app server) is working and able to log using WL Console.

    But Unable to start App server of OTM ..

    In Weblogic console, we are unable to see OTM deployed in "Deployment" option.

    Error in console.0.log:

    Re: OTM 6.2 - APP server not starting <BEA-090403> <Authentication for user system d

    we have already changed the weblogic.conf file with the new password, but still getting the error.

    Should WL be running when we install OTM? Should WL server be started first before starting OTM?
    Using which user (root or OTM) OTM should be started?
    We have installed OTM useing xManager application. And installed web and app server i installation. Are there any known issues with this?

    Thanks,
    Bharath

    Re: OTM 6.2 - APP server not starting <BEA-090403> <Authentication for user system d

    - Is the 'system' user password the same for the weblogic console and in OTM (see gl_user table)?
    - The App server(s) must be up before the Web server(s).
    - OTM should be started using the OTM user

    @bharathkolli
    Then that means step of update password didn't execute properly during installation. Check if log of update password exists under script8 folder.

    @itnole
    - starting from 5.5 CU4, Oracle had suggested to start Web first and then App. From experiences, the sequence does not really matter unless in SCA environment.
    - OTM services must be started by root.

    Re: OTM 6.2 - APP server not starting <BEA-090403> <Authentication for user system d

    Hi Joseph,

    I have Installed 6.2.0 and am facing the same issue, also my DB under teh gl_user table shows passwords which are not encrypted.

    I am facing the issue where weblogioc refuses to startup stating that the Authentication for the system user has been denied.

    I ahve checked that the Weblogic.conf file has the CHANGEME password. am stuck and any help will be deeply appreciated.

    Thanks

    hi pawan,

    refer to metalink note :

    Unable to Start Weblogic After Upgrading From 6.x to 6.2 - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Server [ID 1279026.1]

    If this helps..

    Re: OTM 6.2 - APP server not starting <BEA-090403> <Authentication for user system d

    Go to Script8 folder (where you have all scripts to be run)

    Run the script ./update_password.sh ../../config all CHANGEME CHANGEME

    The following should be Passwords after this :

    On the DB: VAU9uZtJtMwEb3tIVKgN49bfrnE= (This means CHANGEME) {Depends in encryption pattern used by the kind of DB u are using}
    In Tomcat.conf: jvm.arg=-DGC3EncodedPassword=Q0hBTkdFTUU= (This means CHANGEME)
    In Weblogic.conf: var.WL_PW=CHANGEME

    Run the query: select count(gl_password) from gl_user where gl_password = 'CHANGEME'
    Expected Result: 0

    Please let me know if this is happening and make an update
