Hi All,
It would be great if anyone could provide any docs on how to migrate a screen from otm 5.0 to 0tm 5.5 and also any precautions to be taken before the migration work has to be done.Any useful docs or links is highly appreciated.
Regards,
Nikesh

Re: supporting docs on Migration from 5.0 to 5.5

Nikesh,

I'm not aware of any guides to assist with the conversion of screens -- most people doing it now are just working based off of previous experience.

The DB portion of the migration, however, is listed within the OTM Admin Guide and it does a good job of documenting the process, but unfortunately doesn't provide help for troubleshooting issues. Ensure that you're migration is error-free after each step to make life easier.

The best advice I can give is to proceed through a test migration at least 3 times, prior to your production migration and to create a cold DB backup between each of the major DB steps, to give you various recovery points along the process.

The OTM v5.0 to v5.5 is one of the easiest (and fastest) so far - so it's a great one to cut your teeth on.

Thanks,
Chris
