Unhappy Windows server 2008

Hi

As per the admin guide OTM 6.0 is supported on windows serevr 2003 64 bit and Oracle 11.1.0.7

But as per Oracle the database 11.1.0.7 is only supported on windows 2008.

So if we upgrade the server to Windows 2008 can we install OTM on it?

Regards

Re: Windows server 2008

Hi,

I tried to install in windows 2008, there is a problem with registering the OTM services in services.msc, it does not show the services in the list to start.
I had tried to install it via OAS.

Re: Windows server 2008

OTM isn't officially supported on Windows 2008 yet, but the Oracle DB is. For now to have a "supported" configuration, you'll have to run them on separate servers.

Re: Windows server 2008

Originally, Oracle claimed that Windows Server 2008 will be supported in V6.1
Disappointingly, it's not in Technical Architecture Guide - Oracle Software Downloads

If you would like to install on Windows Server 2008 for testing purpose, you can run OTM Installer with Compatible Mode.
