Embedding a file in an inbound xml

Hi,

Version: 5.5 CU5

The client wants to embed an invoice pdf into an inbound xml.
The inbound xml contains the details of an order release/shipment and is sent to OTM via integration from an external system.
Is it possible in OTM?
I think we can make use of Document element in Transmission node.
Anyone please share your experience on this?
