Rep Power: 0 | | | PC Miler Webservices integration Hi,
We need to integrate OTM 5.5 CU4 with PC Miler Webservices v22. Has anyone achieved this and if yes,
1. How can OTM call PC Miler's Webservices as by seeing the External Engine, it seems that OTM makes a native call rather than calling a Target Webservice.
2. How can the triggered OTM XML (Eg. Distance Query) be captured?
3. What is the response XML expected by OTM?
4. Are there any transformations involved in-transit.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards,

OTM does not interface with the web service in PC Miler. You'll need to install the PC Miler in single user mode with the TCP/IP interface. The only parameter you need to change is in your glog.properties to point to the server running PC Miler and port it is listening on. All other configurations are done within the OTM web application.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I know that this is not an out-of-box functionality supported by OTM. But is there any work around that can be done to achieve this as its our business requirement to go ahead with this version of PC Miler.
Possible changes like modifying the Java class registered in External Distance Engine (if possible).

You're correct on the TCP/IP module. By default External Distance Engine can make a call only to a TCP/IP Host/Port. But the thing is we need to send out OTM's Distance query XMLs to PC Miler Webservices & we're looking out for ways to achieve this. I'm looking for a workaround wherein we can somehow generate a custom XML from OTM and then send it across to PC Miler. Also looking for how OTM can consume the response XML.
