[SOLVED] OTM Web Services

What web services are available in OTM? More specifically, can I call a rate inquiry through one?

Re: OTM Web Services

In OTM / GC3 v5.0 and v5.5, the webservices effort was primarily aimed at allowing OTM to function as a webservice client. It appears that the only webservice server functionality is a SOAP version of WMServlet that allows you to send integrations in via a SOAP message, a SOAP attachment or a zipped SOAP attachement.

Keep in mind that there are limitations to the webservice capabilities in OTM - for instance it currently only works on versions of OTM that utilize WebLogic, though I'm sure the capabilities will be ported to other application servers in later releases. Also, webservice is not enabled by default and needs configuration in order to get up and running.

Hope this helps!

Re: OTM Web Services

Chris,

We have OTM deployed on OAS in Solaris environment with new CU3 release do you mean to say that web services doesn't work? I am trying to do a POC. Please let me know your thoughts.

Re: OTM Web Services

RK,

To my knowledge, that is correct. The libraries that OTM leveraged in order to support Web Services were specific to WebLogic and weren't available with the other application servers.

There are significant performance, stability and functionality differences between OTM on WebLogic and the new app servers (WebSphere and OAS). This will change in the future, as Oracle is committed to OTM on OAS, but is the current reality.

Hope this helps!
