Performance testing

Hi,

Client: ALLEX
Version: 5.5 CU5

Urgent:Yes

The customer would like to know if some OTM environment settings is necessary to be changed for OTM performance verification(something like when we go for production, some environment settings(w.r.t OTM) we change).'Is there any document which shows the mandatory settings to be changed for OTM performace verification. For example, we change the property: 'glog.jms.useAsynchronousMessaging' to true.

Basically, the client wants to know what are all the necessary environment settings to be set before they start Performance testing?
Any idea of a powerful tool which automates performance test data?

Please share your expereince in your previous projects, as how usually the performance testing are carried out(with pre conditions and which tool used for automated performance test tool ).

Appreciate for the help in advance.

Regards,
Nikesh.

Re: Performance testing

Nikesh,

While some of the specifics around OTM performance testing are MavenWire proprietary data - I can share some things that will get you on the right track:

Overall Hardware and OS Performance testing:
Benchmarking (Part 1): Java JVM Performance with VolanoMark - Oracle OTM / G-Log GC3 Community Support
Testing Tools:
  • VolanoMark, DaCapo, Soap Stone, etc. for platform testing.
  • JMeter or other pay-for tools like Mercury LoadRunner for UI load testing and running reports.
  • Custom scripts (perl, python, ruby) for uploading integration files into OTM.
